Apprenticeships

 

Hertfordshire Apprenticeship Scheme is an excellent place to start your career or develop new skills.

The minimum duration is 12 months. Some degree level programmes around 2-3 years.

You'll gain experience in a variety of roles across a range of services. You'll also have the opportunity to get qualifications, up to a postgraduate degree.

Qualifications available

A range of work-based qualifications are available, equivalent to an NVQ level 2 - 7. Includes engineering, business admin, leadership and management, and health and social care.

Internships

 

 

Paid internships are a brilliant way to earn while you learn.

You can test out if the career you had in mind really is the one for you. It also looks great on your CV.

Aimed at university and college leavers, internships give you hands-on experience across a range of teams and locations, from graphic design to business administration.

  • £15,807-£16,781 a year

  • Fixed term contract (ranging from 3 months to a year

 

 

 

Work experience

 

 

Many of our departments offer work experience.

Want to spend some time with us to find out what we do? If so, you will need to arrange this directly with the relevant department at HCC.

 

Traineeships

 

 

 

Find out what it's like to be in contracted employment. Increase your career chances with valuable work skills and experience.

For Hertfordshire residents aged 16–24.

By the time you finish your traineeship, you'll have the confidence to plan your next steps into the world of work, apprenticeships or further education.
