SEND jobs in Hertfordshire

We continue to strive to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Join our growing team of passionate professionals who share a commitment to making a real difference.

We’re looking for people to join our team from a wide range of backgrounds and with varied job and life experiences. You may have direct experience working in SEND, or have transferable skills or lived experience which could be very relevant to our work.

Do rewarding work that really matters

Across Hertfordshire’s SEND services, our teams play a vital role in helping children and young people access the support they need to thrive.

We offer opportunities in a variety of roles – including:

  • Statutory SEND roles such as Education, Health & Care Coordinators (EHCCos), working across early years, school age, 16+, and specialist teams.
  • Service-wide roles supporting inclusion, project delivery, engagement with families, operational support, and other key functions across SEND services.

Wherever you join us, you’ll be helping us to strengthen our support for children, young people, and their families.

Grow with Hertfordshire

We’re proud winners of the 2025 Children & Young People Now Workforce Development Award, recognising our commitment to staff development and progression.

The SEND Academy – for statutory SEND roles

If you join one of our statutory SEND teams, you’ll be supported through our award‑winning SEND Academy, a structured development programme designed to equip you for success in your role and support your long-term career.
Roles that are part of the SEND Academy will be clearly highlighted on individual job adverts.

Development for all roles

All colleagues across SEND services benefit from:

  • A comprehensive induction
  • Access to training and learning resources
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development
  • A generous pay and benefits package

No matter which team you join, we’re committed to your growth.
